ACTS Global® (Association of Churches Teaching and Serving®) is an exciting new endeavor of Hope of the Generations Church and Be in Health® to establish safe places for worship and fellowship worldwide. Our goal for 2020 is to establish 20 such churches where people looking for like-minded fellowships can serve each other and be fed Biblically sound doctrine.
To this date, we have established 13 ACTS Churches. These pastors have answered God’s calling on their lives to serve His flock. Each of them has a unique testimony and overcoming journey. They are passionate about their calling because they have been healed and delivered of so much themselves. Their mission is to fulfill the great commission:
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 KJV
Fulfilling Pastor Henry Wright’s vision
Pastor Henry’s vision was to see the church functioning once again like the churches in the book of Acts; with all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in unity. He wanted the Father’s love to be represented to the flock and to establish generations of overcomers all over the world.
Introducing Pastors near you
Each month, we are featuring one of these ACTS pastors in our Be in Health blogs so that you can become more familiar with those who may be serving in your area.
This week we’d like to introduce you to Pastors Stephen and Deidra Howard:
Pastors Stephen and Deidra Howard have made southern Delaware their home since 2007. Their lives were eternally changed after attending their first For My Life® Retreat in 2011. Stephen experienced what Pastor Henry called the second greatest miracle, which was to understand and establish Godly order in his home. At the same time, Deidra experienced healing from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, in addition to walking out of severe depression.
While attending a Be in Health road conference in Tampa, FL, in 2015, they both began to be led by the Spirit to do more than the occasional home Bible study and one-on-one ministry. Over the following years of being in close fellowship with Be in Health and Hope of the Generations Church in Thomaston, GA, Stephen and Deidra were ordained as ACTS pastors in the Fall of 2019. As new pastors, they are seeking the will of the Father and leadership of Christ in their church gathering.
Stephen works as an independent consultant in software, I.T., and media. Deidra spends her time homeschooling their last child in high school and working with their three adult children as they all seek to establish themselves as young entrepreneurs in the things they are passionate about. When they are not busy doing some “homesteading” work around their home (chickens, gardens, etc.), Stephen and Deidra enjoy short trips into Washington, DC, Williamsburg, VA … or planning for something a bit more exotic, such as Costa Rica or Italy.
Where are you planted?
We believe that God has a plan to establish His people in His body. Perhaps He has already planted you in a local church, and we encourage you to continue to serve and pray for your fellowship. Open your hearts to how God would work with you, where you are, to further His Kingdom and His purpose.
Are you looking for a home church?
If you are currently searching for a local body that is a safe place and is like-minded, we encourage you to visit www.actsglobal.com and see if there is an ACTS church in your area. Don’t hesitate to call your local ACTS pastors and get to know them and ask some questions. These churches will also be periodically hosting mini Be in Health Conferences, so this is an excellent opportunity to connect with them and network with them in their mission for your community.
How you can help us establish generations of overcomers
Your prayers are greatly appreciated for these pastors and the mission of Be in Health and ACTS Global. Ask God to provide laborers for the harvest, especially if you do not see an ACTS church in your area yet. The Word says that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much (James 5:16 KJV). We also ask you to prayerfully consider if God is possibly drawing your heart to serve as an ACTS pastor in your local community. If so, please reach out to us through www.actsglobal.com, and we will work with you to help you to navigate this potential opportunity.
Please join us in establishing generations of overcomers in your community!
Be blessed,
The Be in Health Team
